Mission

Commander, Fleet Air Western Pacific (CFWP) has four distinct missions (aviation maintenance, aviation supply, operational logistics, and Type Wing/ Model Manager) - each supporting readiness and warfighting effectiveness of forward deployed naval forces operating in the FIFTH, SIXTH, and SEVENTH Fleets. While serving as the forward deployed executive agent for Commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF), we oversee established and emerging naval aviation manning, training, equipping, and sustaining functions for the Forward Deployed Naval Force aviation units, aviation capable ships, forward operating sites, airfields, and air facilities.
