Welcome to the Region Legal Service Office at Naval Air Facility Japan. Our office provides a variety of services to approximately 10,000 service members, Department of Defense employees, contractors and their family members attached to NAF Atsugi including the following:

Japanese Legal Matters: A Japanese legal advisor for assistance is available five days a week to personnel who have questions or problems concerning the Japanese civilian community, including the Status of Forces Agreement, Japanese criminal law. Appointments are recommended. The Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) is an agreement between a country and a foreign nation stationing military forces in that country.

Assistance for Immigration and Naturalization: is provided by RLSO. Please call 264-3692.

Notary Services: Powers of attorney and notary walk-in services are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 13:30 - 15:00 on the third floor of the Headquarters Building, 949, Rm. 328. Outside of those hours, an appointment is advised. All services are available to active duty members, military retirees, DoD civilians and all family members.
