CDR Dan Rosborough was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He is a 2005 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In 2016, he received a Master’s of Business Administration from the Naval
Postgraduate School.
Most recently at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, CDR Rosborough held positions as Deputy Mission Support On-Site Inspection and Building Capacity Directorate, Open Skies Chief of Mission Support, and Deputy Mission
Commander. As a US Government representative, CDR Rosborough was responsible for the sustainment and archival of all US Open Skies Treaty operations.
CDR Rosborough, completed his Department Head assignment with the Red Knights of Training Squadron THREE in Pensacola, FL. As assigned Training Air Wing FIVE’s Operations Officer, CDR Rosborough coordinated over 500 fixed
and rotary-wing sorties per day, executing 130,000 flight hours annually representing 50% of all undergraduate flight training and 16% of all Navy Flight hours.
CDR Rosborough’s sea duties include assistant operations officer USNS Supply (T-AOE-6) and assistant officer in charge USS Kearsarge (LHD-3). As AOIC, he was the cornerstone of the highly successful first east coast HSC expeditionary
deployment of three-armed helicopters with the amphibious ready group as part of the CNO's Enhanced VBSS CONOP.
On shore duty, Rosborough moved to San Diego to join the Merlins of HSC-3. As an instructor pilot, CDR Rosborough accumulated over 1,700 flight hours. In Student Control, he coordinated with Navy Personal Command on the placement
and transition of 264 west coast HSC pilots. Additionally, CDR Rosborough was individually augmented to the Joint Personnel Recovery Center, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. There, as deputy director and watch supervisor, CDR Rosborough
led a 21-person directorate responsible for all personnel recovery within CENTCOM AOR.
CDR Rosborough spent a year at NAB Little Creek as the Flag Aide to Expeditionary Strike Group TWO where he planned and executed ESG-2’s daily schedule, travel, and protocol in support of the Navy’s east coast expeditionary fleet. Additionally, deployed
to the 5 th fleet AOR onboard the USS Oak Hill where he earned his Officer of the Deck Qualification. Personal awards include Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medal (2), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and
Marine Corps Achievement medal (2), Meritorious Unit Commendation medal and two Battle 'E' awards for excellence.
