Typhoon Season for CFAY runs from June 1 through October 31. CFAY's default posture of readiness during Typhoon Season is TCCOR 5. Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness or TCCOR levels shift as a typhoon approaches. Knowing what each TCCOR stage means can help you better prepare for an approaching storm. Naval Oceanography Antisubmarine Warfare Center Yokosuka provides up-to-date weather-related information on their website https://www.metoc.navy.mil/noacy/index.html, Weather Channel 17-5, AFN's Eagle 810, CFAY's Facebook page, Stars and Stripes' Pacific Storm Tracker are all resources available to get the most up-to-date information on the developing storms. Ready Navy offers resources and information including a page dedicated to making an at home emergency kit. During and after a typhoon, you may need supplies to keep your family safe and healthy.
