TROPICAL CYCLONE CONDITIONS OF READINESS

Typhoon Season for CFAY runs from June 1 through October 31. CFAY's default posture of readiness during Typhoon Season is TCCOR 5. Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness or TCCOR levels shift as a typhoon approaches. Knowing what each TCCOR stage means can help you better prepare for an approaching storm.

Naval Oceanography Antisubmarine Warfare Center Yokosuka provides up-to-date weather-related information on their website https://www.metoc.navy.mil/noacy/index.html, Weather Channel 17-5, AFN's Eagle 810, CFAY's Facebook page, Stars and Stripes' Pacific Storm Tracker are all resources available to get the most up-to-date information on the developing storms. Ready Navy offers resources and information including a page dedicated to making an at home emergency kit

During and after a typhoon, you may need supplies to keep your family safe and healthy.  Remember that a typhoon could cut off your power and water supply, and disrupt essential supply chains such as grocery stores and pharmacies. You also may not be able to drive due to damage to your vehicle and roads may be flooded or blocked.
