Congratulations on your orders to Yokosuka, Japan!

Yokosuka is home to Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, 7th Fleet headquarters, and the Navy's only permanently forward deployed carrier strike group. There is much to see and do so your off-duty time can be filled with many exciting adventures, please see our MWR page for more details and take advantage of all the region has to offer.

If you’ve received your orders and need to contact your sponsor, please reach out to us at cfaysponsorshipondemand@us.navy.mil and visit the CFAY Command Sponsorship Team page. The CFAY ombudsman is another option to help point you in the right direction and may be reached at cfayombudsman@yahoo.com or by visiting the ombudsman's Facebook page.

While you wait for our sponsorship team to reply, please see how you can arrange airport shuttle reservations, learn about school programs here, and get useful phone numbers to quickly track down key offices on base including base restaurants offering delivery to Navy Lodge and NGIS guests. The Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) has many helpful programs for the whole family, including the Area Orientation Brief/Inter-Cultural Relations class (AOB/ICR) that all new Sailors and adult family members must take upon arrival. Email FFSCinfo@us.navy.mil for more information. Don’t miss the Housing Welcome Center page and be sure to take advantage of our Sponsorship On Demand program (link below).

Families planning to travel with their pets should visit the U.S. Army Yokosuka Veterinary Treatment Facility website immediately to learn about the Government of Japan's pet import laws to minimize out-of-pocket expenses to meet the animal quarantine process that can take as long as 180 days. Exact requirements are listed on the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service website here: USDA APHIS | Pet travel from the U.S. to Japan

Sponsorship On Demand is our newest program designed to allow military personnel, dependents and civilian employees an easy way to meet CFAY experts online every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 8 a.m. Japan Standard Time. Our staff is ready to answer questions about your move to Yokosuka. It can be anything from household goods to pet quarantine/travel procedures or language study opportunities to what it means when Chief emails, "check in at TPU." Here's a 20-minute podcast on Sponsorship On Demand

Again, congratulations on your orders to Yokosuka. You are on your way to the Pacific’s best kept secret; Fleet Activities Yokosuka.
