Hours of Operation

Carney Gate | Womble Gate | Verny Gate | Ikego Gate | Jimmuji Gate

These are the regular hours of operation for Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka Womble Gate, also known as Side Gate.

Please be aware that temporary adjustments may occur for planned maintenance, construction projects, and drills. These scheduled actions are announced in My CFAY Weekly, aired on the on base Commander's Channel 17-04, and shared on our social media channels.

Unscheduled closures are at the discretion of the command.

Vehicle Access

Inbound
- Daily 5 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Inbound High Traffic Pattern
- Monday-Friday (excluding U.S. holidays) 5 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Outbound
- Monday – Friday 5 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Weekends and holidays 5 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Outbound High Traffic Pattern
- Monday-Friday (excluding U.S. holidays) 3:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Pedestrian Access

Inbound: Daily 5 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Outbound: 24 hours

Temporary Hours

Womble Gate is scheduled to temporarily shift to 24/7 hours for vehicle traffic beginning Monday, December 8 at 8 p.m. and continuing until Saturday, December 13 at 4:30 a.m. in support of planned maintenance at Carney Gate. Normal gate operations are expected at the conclusion of Carney Gate planned maintenance.

FULL GATE CLOSURE

Womble Gate is scheduled to close to all vehicle traffic Monday, December 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Pedestrian traffic is not expected to be affected.
