Traveling with Pets

CFAY COMMAND SPONSORSHIP TEAM

Pets are not authorized to use the CFAY Airport Shuttle service. Personnel traveling with pets are required to find transportation for their pets. A list of commercial options is available through the Command Sponsorship Team, CFA Yokosuka Fleet and Family Support Center, command ombudsman, CFAY Admin Department's FAST office, or local social media groups.

Effective January 1, 2024, personnel requesting pet transportation using government-owned vehicles either to or from Narita or Haneda Airports must have requests submitted within 30 days of travel and meet the following criteria:

Requestors shall provide a transportation denial request from NEX Transportation. NEX Transportation is available via DSN 243-4511. If you're using a Japanese phone, please dial 046-816-4511. International phones may dial +81-046-816-4511.
Requestors shall pay out-of-pocket. Reminder for servicemembers, PCS travel expenses are often reimbursable with a copy of receipt during PCS travel. Please verify with your Travel Clerk for more information. Civilian employees are encouraged to ask their HR representative for policy.
Requests made with less than four weeks of notice may not be accepted. This is due to the long lead time in processing payments.
Fees are processed via eBill:
- Haneda: $425.87
- Narita: $488.31
