Navy Exchange

Singapore's small but award-winning Navy Exchange is located on the first deck of Building 7-4, PSA Sembawang Terminal. Hours of operations are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday; and from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during Singapore Public Holidays and U.S. holidays. Normally closed on Sundays, Christmas and Thanksgiving Day, the NEX opens to accomodate ships when they're in port.

The small NEX, comparable in size to a mini-mart at other bases, carries a wide variety of items including health and beauty aids, beer, wine and liqueur, soda, and snacks. The NEX also carries greeting cards, linens, and a small assortment of electronics, watches and sunglasses. As Singapore has no commissary, the NEX carries more than 600 line items of groceries, including canned goods, produce, a variety of cereals and frozen foods. Frozen meats and fresh milk are also available.

A small assortment of uniform items are carried, though any uniform item can be ordered and received in about a week if needed. All prices are posted in U.S. dollars, but the NEX accepts all credit cards and Singapore dollars. The NEX can be contacted at (+65) 6750-2408, or DSN 315-421-2408.
