Executive Officer, NSF Diego Garcia
Lieutenant Commander Angela Myers is a native of San Antonio, Texas. She is a 2011 graduate of the United States Naval Academy earning a Bachelor of Science in General Science and was commissioned into the United States Navy. Lieutenant Commander Myers also earned a Masters of Business Administration Degree in Financial Management from the Naval Post Graduate School, in Monterey, California in 2018.
Lieutenant Commander Myers’ sea assignments include an initial operational tour aboard USS Shiloh (CG 67) in Yokosuka, Japan as the Repair and the Auxiliaries Officer. She later served with Maritime Prepositioning Ships Squadron Two (MPS2) in British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), Diego Garcia, as the Force Protection Officer. Her first Department Head tour was aboard USS McCampbell (DDG 85) in Yokosuka, Japan, homeport shifting to Portland, Oregon, as the Plans and Tactics Officer. For her second Department Head tour she was the Training Officer onboard USS Boxer (LHD 4), homeported in San Diego. During her career she completed numerous FDNF deployments to the South and East China Seas and participated in numerous bi-lateral exercises.
Ashore, Lieutenant Commander Myers served as an Export License Analyst at Navy International Program Office (NIPO) located on the Washington Navy Yard.
Her personal awards include the Joint Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards), and various unit commendations and service campaign awards.
