The Navy College provides opportunities to Sailors to earn college degrees by providing academic credit for Navy training, work experience, and off-duty education. The NCP mission is to enable Sailors to obtain a college degree while on active duty. The NCP signals the Navy's commitment to education by improving enlistment appeal, demonstrating Navy service and achieving a college degree are compatible, helping Sailors apply themselves to new situations and challenges and better preparing them for advancement, building up Sailors' self-image, and producing higher quality Sailors. The Navy College Program integrates all components of Voluntary Education including assisting you to:
- *analyze and define your education goals and capabilities
- *review your previous college work and plan your future education and training
- *select courses and programs you will need to succeed
- *enter a suitable college, university, or technical training school
- *receive financial aid
- *obtain college credit for Navy training and experience
- *earn credit-by-examination
- *obtain and review your transcript (SMART)
- *review and discuss your rating roadmap
