LCDR Matthew L. Moore

Lieutenant Commander Moore’s sea assignments include an initial operational tour aboard USS SHOUP (DDG 86), homeported out of Everett, Washington as the Electrical Officer and the Asst. Fire Control Officer. He later served aboard USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65), out of Norfolk, Virginia as the Systems Test Officer. His first Department Head tour was aboard USS SAN ANTONIO (LPD 17), homeported in Norfolk, Virginia as the Combat Systems Officer. For his second Department Head tour he was the Operations Officers aboard USS FREEDOM (LCS 1), homeported in San Diego, California. During his career he completed multiple deployments to the Fourth, Fifth and Seventh Fleet AORs and participated in numerous bi-lateral exercises.

Ashore, Lieutenant Commander Moore served as the First Lieutenant for Assault Craft Unit Four (ACU 4) based out of Little Creek, VA. He was also assigned to Maritime Expeditionary Security Group ONE Detachment Guam (MESG 1 DET Guam) as the Assistant Officer in Charge.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards), and various unit commendations and service campaign awards.
