CMDCM (AW/SW) James Frost

CMDCM(AW/SW) James Frost, a native of New Mexico, enlisted in the United States Navy in October, 2002.  Following Basic Recruit Training at Great Lakes, Illinois, he completed aviation apprentice training at Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) Pensacola, Florida.

His operational sea tours include USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76), where he completed the ship’s maiden deployment and a home-port shift from Norfolk to San Diego. He later served aboard USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73) in support of 7th FLEET tasking and USS BATAAN (LHD 5) as the Safety DLCPO and 3MC. Most recently, he served aboard USS GERALD R. FORD (CVN 78) as the Air Department LCPO, successfully completing historic shock trials and the ship’s maiden deployment.

Ashore, CMDCM Frost served as a Recruiter in Charge for Navy Recruiting District Michigan and as the Crash & Salvage and Air Terminal LCPO at Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana. He completed his first Command Senior Chief tour at Naval Support Facility (NSF) Deveselu, Romania, supporting NATO’s first Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System.

CMDCM Frost is currently the Command Master Chief for Naval Air Facility Misawa, Japan. He is a graduate of the Command Master Chief course and the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy. He holds an Associate Degree from Saint Leo University.

His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy & Marine Corps Achievement medal (seven awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
